SharePoint Quick Launch Customization Tutorial

Learn how to add a Quick Launch link in SharePoint 2010


SharePoint 2010 Quick Launch links are a way to assist user navigation. Watch this video tutorial to learn how to add a link to the SharePoint quick launch bar.

  1. Locate the quick launch bar (left side of the page)
  2. Click Site Actions
  3. Click Site Settings
  4. Click Quick Launch under Look and Feel
  5. Click New Naivgation Link
  6. Type in the web address you want to add to the navigation
  7. Select which heading you would like the link to fall under (libraries, lists discussions)
  8. Select OK
  9. The new link will now be available in the Quick Launch Bar
