How to Reset FrontPage Extensions in a PLESK Environment

This step by step guide is for when you run across an issue (such as broken forms or bad inability to connect with FrontPages) with FrontPage extensions and need to reset connection. (Usually will have broken extensions after FTP connection to web directory; avoiding FTP connection to web directory is highly suggested).

  1. Log into PLESK control panel
    Do not know your login information? Contact Technical Support
  2. Click on "FrontPage Management" (Located within the Hosting group).
  3. Click on FP WebAdmin.
  4. Cancel the logon prompt when it appears. Copy and paste the URL to your local browser and logon.
  5. Click Server Health>>Check Server Health
    • Check all boxes (Detect and Health) and click OK (Wait a few minutes as needed).
    • Click "Administration" link at the top of the page.
  6. Click Server Health>>Recalculate the Web
    • Click Recalculate (this process may take a while depending on size of site and current server load).
  7. Connection and access should be restored after both processes are completed.
  8. If forms or Web pages are still not functioning correctly, a Republish of these pages is recommended.
  9. If this still fails to correct issue, a rebuild of the page is suggested.
