FTP With FrontPage Sites

×

Please Note:

FrontPage is no longer supported for Fpweb.net managed hosting clients. However, we continue to offer online help & support resources for Microsoft® FrontPage in our expansive Support Achive.

If you are using Microsoft® FrontPage you should always publish your site, rather than using FTP . Transferring FrontPage files using FTP breaks your FrontPage Components, particularly those associated with forms.

FrontPage Components which should NEVER be moved using FTP are:

  • Discussion Component
  • Guest Book Component
  • Registration Component
  • Save Results Component
  • Scheduled Image Component

  • Search Component
