post. They are very convincing and can definitely work.

Nonetheless, the posts are too short for novices.
May you please prolong them a little from next time?
Thanks for the post.

Comment on SharePoint Headache: Change in ‘Wait for Field Change’ by Chad https://www.fpweb.net/sharepoint-blog/sharepoint-headache-change-in-wait-for-field-change/#comment-7984 Thu, 03 May 2018 15:29:01 +0000 https://www.fpweb.net/?p=12524#comment-7984 Another option I just used:
I created a Calculated column in the source SharePoint list with formula “=COUNTA([Column1], [Column2])” where Column1 and 2 are fields that you’re waiting the user to fill out.

In your workflow, wait for your calculated column to be zero (meaning, all fields you wanted filled out are completed).

Hope this helps.

Comment on PowerShell Tips: Casting Your Data Types by Carl https://www.fpweb.net/sharepoint-blog/powershell-tips-casting-your-data-types/#comment-5749 Thu, 12 Apr 2018 08:24:05 +0000 https://www.fpweb.net/?p=15042#comment-5749 on my german host I see following:
PS C:\Users\Carl> ‘1,23’ -as [double]
123
PS C:\Users\Carl> [double]::parse(‘1,23’)
1,23
Type conversion with -as does not work correct because the decimal separator ‘,’ used in Germany is not recognized. Parse works.
?Why?

Comment on Import & Export Hyper-V VM’s for Windows Server 2012 R2 by TheMan https://www.fpweb.net/sharepoint-blog/import-export-hyper-v-vms-for-windows-server-2012-r2/#comment-5402 Mon, 09 Apr 2018 14:09:56 +0000 https://www.fpweb.net/?p=15023#comment-5402 What is actually accomplished here is unclear because you mention VMM up front, and then describe a procedure for importing an existing VM into Hyper-V, not VMM.

I am looking for a way to import an existing VM into VMM. Getting it into the Hyper-V host is straightforward. The big question is, how do you get it to show in the VMM console ?

Nothing we didn’t know already. You might just mention to CHANGE THE DNS record to point to the new SQL. Oh well.. back to the hunt.
